The extraordinary story of LAS VEGAS in 1955 when Mario Lanza was set to perform at the New Frontier Hotel while the US government was conducting atomic bomb explosions out in the Nevada desert.

Lanza was one of the great Hollywood musical stars of the fifties. Adored by fans worldwide, his films and million-selling recordings were among the biggest and most admired of the era. But Lanza was a troubled and complicated man. His temper, heavy drinking and insecurities clashed wildly with the beauty and controlled power of his remarkable tenor voice.

Set during his troubled Las Vegas concerts in 1955, this 5 actor play with music is a compelling and colourful exploration of an extraordinary time and unbelievable story as Lanza creates chaos in the hotels while mushroom clouds explode in the distance..

The show features LANZA performing several songs, accompanied by piano or backing tracks.  The music choices are flexible and can include operatic arias or American Songbook classics.
